The ANIMFEST ZAGREB 2025 Festival selects the 3D movie Trash!

Trash has been selected to compete in the World Festival of Animated Film – ANIMAFEST ZAGREB 2025, a unique opportunity on the international stage and a great distinction for our students. This graduation film, made by the ESMA class of 2024, is thus continuing on its path to excellence!
An unmissable animation festival
Since its creation in 1972, the World Festival of Animated Film – ANIMAFEST ZAGREB has established itself as an unmissable event for animated film. Taking place every year in Croatia, it highlights the most daring and innovative creations in the sector. As one of the qualifying festivals for the Oscars, it offers a real showcase for new talent, propelling many artists onto the international scene.
To be selected for ANIMAFEST ZAGREB is to have your work recognized by renowned experts and to benefit from worldwide exposure. It is also a valuable opportunity for young filmmakers to measure their work against other outstanding productions and to meet the great figures of animation.
Trash in the spotlight
From June 2 to 7, 2025, the Croatian capital will host the ANIMFEST festival in Zagreb, in which Trash will represent ESMA. A big congratulations to the entire student team for their work, and we send them our encouragement for the rest of this great adventure.
