The end of the year was rich with the release of films and series that our alumni contributed to: Avatar: The Way of the Water, Pinocchio, Wednesday, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Sandman.
Cinema and series are still prolific! The end of the year saw the arrival on the small and big screen of many projects long awaited by the spectators. Among these releases, former students of the CG Animation & FX program have worked on them.

AVATAR: THE WAY OF THE WATER
Long postponed, the sequel of the famous blockbuster of the director James Cameron finally arrives at the cinema after more than 13 years of waiting! Once again the director signs a visual feat that will delight many fans. On the program, more than three hours of adventures and breathtaking visual effects and an immersive dive into the fabulous universe of Pandora.

Synopsis
Jake Sully and Neytiri have become parents. The plot takes place a decade after the events of the original film. Their idyllic life, close to nature, is threatened when the Resources Development Administration, a dangerous non-governmental organization, returns to Pandora. Forced to leave their natural habitat, Jake and his family travel to the reefs, where they think they will find sanctuary. But they come across a clan, the Metkayina, whose ways are different from their own…
Black Panther : Wakanda Forever
This film is the thirtieth in the Marvel universe as well as the seventh (and final) film of Phase IV. It follows the first opus released in 2018 Black Panther. The terrible death of the hero, Chadwick Boseman, involved rethinking the continuation of the story and giving it a new direction to follow.

Synopsis
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje struggle to protect their nation from interference from other world powers after the death of King T’Challa. As the people struggle to move forward, our heroes must unite and enlist the help of mercenary Nakia and Everett Ross to bring the kingdom of Wakanda into a new era. But a terrible threat emerges from a kingdom hidden deep in the ocean: Talokan.
Pinocchio
One of the most popular tales in the world returns in a new adaptation by the famous Mexican director Guillermo del Toro. The wooden puppet who wants to become a real boy is given a stop-motion version with, however, a darker side than the traditional Disney film.

Synopsis
Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro revisits Carlo Collodi’s tale of a puppet who magically comes to life to appease the heart of a woodcarver named Geppetto. This stop-motion musical fantasy epic directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson follows the adventures of the mischievous and disobedient Pinocchio as he seeks his place in the world.
WEDNESDAY
Another series signed by Netflix that focuses this time on one of the most famous families in America: the Addams! These characters are not young since they appear since 1938 in cartoon form. Their success will bring them to the screen through live-action and 3D animated movies, games, a musical and several series. This time it is the great Tim Burton who is at the helm and who proposes to focus specifically on the eldest of the family, the young Wednesday. We enjoy this new version!

Sandman
A new adaptation for the prolific writer Neil Gaiman! Another production signed by Netflix that has set its sights on the king of dreams, the Sandman. Basically it is a series in the form of a graphic novel featuring the Eternals whose mission is to ensure that their powers are respected. A dreamlike and intriguing journey that takes the viewer between dream and reality, between Earth and other worlds.
