ESMA ranked 8th best animation school in the world by Animation Career Review 2022.
ESMA’s films have been selected for over 200 international festivals each year. Our students’ work has been rewarded with many prizes, including the “Best Student Project” award at SIGGRAPH for the film Je suis un Caillou, the “Film of the Year – 3D animation” award by The Rookies for the film Œil pour Œil, the “Best Art Director Award” for the film La Source des Montagnes at the Animayo! festival, and many others!

Two films won awards at the Athens Animfest – Greece

The film Happy Easter won the prize for “Best animated short film”, awarded by the jury Autres Regards at the Festival du Cinéma Européen – France – France

Double award at the National Animation Film Festival
The film Je suis un Caillou won the “Coup de Cœur Benshi for a short film for very young audiences” while the film Happy Easter received the “Coup de Cœur des scolaires for a short film for very young audiences” at the Festival National du Film d’Animation de Rennes – France
“Young Audience 2020” Award
The film Happy Easter won the “Young Audience 2020” prize at the Cinémascotte festival, organized by the Tournus Animation Film Festival – France
Prize “Best Animation Short”
The short film Avec le Do de la Cuillère won the prize « Best Animation Short (13+ years) » at the IKFF festival (International Kids Film Festival) – India

The short film Love is in the hair won the prize “Best movie in CortoAnimation Category” at the Visionicorte international Short Film Festival – Italia
