ESMA ranked 8th best animation school in the world by Animation Career Review 2022.
ESMA’s films have been selected for over 200 international festivals each year. Our students’ work has been rewarded with many prizes, including the “Best Student Project” award at SIGGRAPH for the film Je suis un Caillou, the “Film of the Year – 3D animation” award by The Rookies for the film Œil pour Œil, the “Best Art Director Award” for the film La Source des Montagnes at the Animayo! festival, and many others!

Two mentions at the Deep Focus Film Festival
Two films were awarded at the last Deep Focus Film Festival – USA:
- The Other Me received an Honorable Mention
- Le roi tulipe received an Honorable Mention
Five awards at the 2D & 3D Animation Film Festival
Four films were awarded at the 2D & 3D Animation Film Festival – Italy
- La source des montagnes – Best Character Design

Jury Prize
The film Œil pour Œil won the Jury Prize in the Children’s Competition at the Lago Film Fest – Italy
“Je suis un caillou” awarded 3 times!
“Je suis un caillou” won the Best Animation Short award at the HollyShorts Film Festival (USA).
The film also won the second place in the category “International School Short Film Competition” at the Chilemonos Festival (Chile).
Finally, it won the Jury Prize in the Children’s Competition at the Lago Film Fest (Italy).
