Cartoon Forum is the leading event in the world of animation! Held in Toulouse every year, the event brings together the crème de la crème of the European animation world, enabling professionals, students and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and share their passion. Like every year, ESMA and its students were there. Here’s a look back at four days rich in learning!

This summer, the Swing to the Moon film team, accompanied by one of their teachers, flew across the Atlantic to receive the Best Student Project award at Siggraph 2023. An adventure beyond their wildest expectations, which ESMA recounts here in great detail!

Over the course of three intense days, the students of the CG Animation & FX Master Degree of 2023 presented their films to a panel of international professionals at the graduation show. This year there were 28 films made by 230 students across our 4 campuses.

French studio TAT Prod’s 5th feature film, The Jungle Bunch 2, hits cinemas on August 16. The Toulouse-based studio continues to weave its web in the audiovisual landscape! Several of our former students have taken part in this eagerly-awaited new adventure.

When they arrived at ESMA, the idea sounded like a joke. A few years later, some of them have made the leap from dream to reality, and are now working for this animation giant, which has given rise to vocations among a large number of image enthusiasts. Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears’ animated feature Ninja Turtles – Teenage Years is out! This film aims to give a new lease of life to the cult characters of the 1980s! Several of our former students took part in this eagerly-awaited new adventure.
