The Lion King is certainly one of the most famous animated films in the world. His story has accompanied many children and parents. Many of the songs in the film are well known and remain timeless. 2019, 25 years after the first theatrical release, the Lion King returns in a new full CG animation version. We are delighted to see that several of our former students have participated in its realization! Discover them.

Every year, the beginning of June marks the return of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the MIFA. This year again ESMA was present as well as its students. This major event was an opportunity for our students to meet professionals from the world of CG animation and to interact with them.

At ESMA we like to keep a link with our alumni. Following their evolution once out of school and discovering the projects they worked on is always a joy for us! This time we have the pleasure to find many of them in the credits of the blockbuster Godzilla – King of monsters.

The campus of ESMA Montpellier received the visit of the studio : Unit Image. To represent him, Johanne Beaupied and Dorian Marchesin came to meet the students. A new opportunity for them to discover another part of the world of CG animation and FX.

At the end of their studies, the career way of our alumni leads them to exercise their talents in studios that are commissioned to perform CG animation and FX of blockbusters. For this new spotted we present the ESMA alumni who worked on X-Men: Dark Phoenix!

Brian Gossart and Dana Raad, representatives of MPC studio for one and The Focus – Technicolor for the other, were both visiting ESMA Montpellier. For them, it was an opportunity to present the different studios of the group and for our students, a new opportunity to exchange with professionals and create a network.

The website Animation Career Review site published the ranking 2019 of the best CG animation schools in the world and Europe. ESMA School ranks among the best!
