A look back at the 2021 jury for the CG Animation and FX Master Degree. A special year because the Lyon campus presented its first class. A total of 26 films were presented, made by 192 students.

For a few months now, they have been pursuing their solo adventures since graduation. Philippe Nurdin is a freelance lighting artist for the Framestore studio and Yann Orhon has worked for several studios and has decided to open his own!

In two parts, we offer you an original focus on the realization of a workshop conducted by the 2nd year students of the CG Animation and FX Master Degree in Nantes. The exercise consists in imagining a character interacting with the facade of a store and creating a 10-second animation. This cross-disciplinary project is built throughout the year and brings together different subjects taught at the school.

From London to Tokyo, our young graduates don’t hesitate to travel the world to put their talent to work for the studios. Claire Maury has taken up residence in the English capital, while Rémi Portes Narrieu has chosen the East: the Land of the Rising Sun.

Meeting with a trio of young graduates who were all three recruited by the Montpellier-based studio Nobody. Yasmine Bresson and Benjamin François left the Nantes region where they were studying to join the south while Emilie Gomez was already playing at home!

Meetings with animation studios take place regularly with the final year students. A few days ago, the future graduates were able to exchange with the international studio Framestore. This was an opportunity for them to discover this studio and to receive advice on their job search.

It could have been yesterday, but their graduation jury was almost a year ago. In the months since, our young graduates have come a long way. This year again, the Parisian studio Illumination MacGuff wanted to meet our students, despite the constraints in force and the distance. Thus, in a digitalized way, the studio representatives were able to exchange with the students of our campuses.
