CINEMA FOR CHANGE Festival: Reven is selected in the “Children’s Prize” competition
News . 12 Dec. 2024
Reven, the 3D animated short film made by our final-year students, has had the honour of being selected in the ‘Children’s Prize’ category at the CINEMA FOR CHANGE International Festival. This selection is an important step for this animated film, which deals sensitively with the themes of difference and resilience.
A moving tale of a young girl’s determination
REVEN follows the story of a 10-year-old girl born with a tilted head. Faced with her teacher’s doubts about her ability to adapt, Reven sets herself a real challenge to prove that she is as competent as her classmates. Her goal? To be in the class photo, upright like everyone else. This short film takes a subtle look at disability, highlighting the heroine’s unshakeable determination to overcome her difficulties and make those around her proud.
A festival with meaning
A flagship event for committed filmmakers, the CINEMA FOR CHANGE International Festival will celebrate its 14th edition in 2025. Focusing on social and environmental issues, it highlights works designed to raise public awareness and stimulate dialogue. REVEN ‘s selection for this prestigious festival is a testament to the artistic merit and emotional impact of our students’ work.
An original jury for the Children’s Prize
The Children’s Prize is awarded by a jury made up entirely of pupils from partner schools. These young jurors will view the films in competition and cast their votes between 1 January and 31 March 2025. The awards ceremony will take place on 12 April 2025 in Paris, at a spectacular event.

Our warmest congratulations go to the talented students behind REVEN. This selection is great international recognition for their work. We wish them every success in the competition and hope that their film will stand out in this category, which is driven by the voices of young people.
