Cycle Pro Animation 3D & Effets Spéciaux / Lyon

ESMA Lyon is organising an unprecedented battle on its campus: for 48 hours, participants will battle it out using their creativity, technical skills and ingenuity.

Four categories for two days of intense challenge

On 29 and 30 March, ESMA Lyon is organising a creative battle between teams of students from a wide variety of backgrounds, ready to use their talent and all the artistic skills at their disposal to make this a memorable event.

Working in teams made up of students of all levels – from pre-preparation to the final year of 3D studies – participants will be able to develop ingenious and daring concepts in 4 distinct categories :

  • Photogrammetry : each team will be able to reconstruct physical objects into original 3D creations,
  • Matte painting: using visual composition and image retouching techniques, teams can create fantastic sets and visual environments worthy of the greatest film productions,
  • Kidrobot chess: participants in this theme will be tasked with reinventing the classic game of chess with personalised vinyl pieces,
  • Video mapping: here, students will be asked to create an augmented mural, where visual art and sound elements will help to bring to life an immersive and captivating experience.

optimising the creative process

For 48 hours, under the supervision of their teachers, the participants will have to work hand in hand, confronting their ideas, organising their working time and optimising their creative process. Faced with the stress of a tight deadline, creative battles are an ideal exercise for students to stimulate their creativity, develop their time management skills and put theoretical lessons into practice in a realistic production context.

ASo, are you ready to take up the challenge ?
