ESMA at the Animated Film Festival: an unmissable event!
News . 12 Nov. 2024
Every year, the Association Française du Cinéma d’Animation (AFCA) organises a not-to-be-missed event for fans of animated films: the Fête du Cinéma d’Animation. The École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques (ESMA) is delighted to join in this national celebration. From 16 to 23 October, this event will enable the public to rediscover family animated films, screened in cinemas on our various campuses.
The Animated Film Festival: a national event
Launched in 2002 by the Association Française du Cinéma d’Animation (AFCA), the Fête du Cinéma d’Animation showcases the diversity of animated films every year. Every October, this not-to-be-missed event features screenings of short and feature-length films at venues across France. Designed to unveil the richness of this artistic discipline, the festival is also a forum for showcasing the work of creators and professionals in the sector, through screenings, interactive workshops and enriching conferences.
The aim of the event is to promote an art form that is constantly evolving, recognised for its inventiveness and capacity for innovation. It gives the general public the chance to explore lesser-known works and rediscover the classics of animated cinema.
ESMA: a pillar of animation cinema
With its well-established reputation for training in 3D animation and visual effects, ESMA is a key player in the Animated Film Festival. For more than twenty years, the school has been training the talent that contributes to the growth of animation in France and beyond, with students who regularly stand out at festivals for the quality and originality of their creations.
By taking part in this event, ESMA is reaffirming its role in promoting the world of animation and inviting the public to discover the films made by its students. The festival is also an ideal opportunity to awaken the curiosity of younger children about this captivating art form, and to share a moment of discovery and pleasure with the whole family.
