[Spotted] Our alumni in the credits of Ninja Turtles – Teenage Years

Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears’ animated feature Ninja Turtles – Teenage Years is out! This film aims to give a new lease of life to the cult characters of the 1980s! Several of our former students took part in this eagerly-awaited new adventure.

The Tortus Ninja saga speaks to everyone, of course. And with good reason, the saga has endured through the decades. Who could have imagined that The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would still exist almost 40 years after their creation in the early 80s?

These fictional characters were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984 in the comic book of the same name. The authors had originally planned a single volume, but in the face of overwhelming success, they launched a long series of comic books. Several animated TV series followed. In parallel, 5 feature films and 2 animated films were released between 1990 and 2016.

Ovation at the Annecy Festival

At the last Annecy festival in June, Ninja Turtles – Teenage Years received a standing ovation from the international festival audience, meaning that its mainstream release is eagerly awaited. “A lot of people are very attached to these characters, who had their golden age in the 1980s-1990s, so we didn’t want to spoil it for them”, said Jeff Rowe in an interview, “hoping that fans will get on board”.

Ninja Turtles – Teenage Years boasts a five-star cast in the USA, with the Seth Rogen-produced film calling on a number of celebrities from the big and small screens, some of them particularly well-versed in dubbing: Maya Rudolph lends her voice to Cynthia Ultrom. THE MIKROS STUDIO

Founded in 1985, Mikros Animation is a French studio that works both on projects produced entirely in digital images, and on live-action projects with special effects. It is involved in everything from pre-production to full production, for both films and series. The company has five sites worldwide: Los Angeles, Montreal, Paris, Bangalore and London. NINJA TURTLES – TEENAGE YEARS

After years away from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic deeds. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they find themselves in over their heads when an army of mutants deploys against them.
