Alternative Mesozoic to be shown at the Parc Dinopédia in La Grand-Combe this summer
News . 21 Jun. 2022
The short film Mésozoïque Alternatif, released in 2021, will be shown throughout the summer at Dinopédia, the largest animated dinosaur park in France, in La Grand-Combe.
When a dinosaur meets another dinosaur, what do they talk about? Dinosaur stories! In this case, when an ESMA end-of-study film fits perfectly with the theme of an amusement park in the Gard, Dinopédia, and this is why the latter wanted to show this short film so that its public could discover it.
A CHANGE OF SCENERY GUARANTEED
As we are not all specialists in prehistory, the Mesozoic era, long called the secondary era, is a period of geological time that began 251 million years ago (Ma) and ended at -65.5 Ma. This period allowed the development of reptiles (dinosaurs, flying reptiles and marine reptiles), which dominated the fauna of this period to the point of designating the Mesozoic as the “age of reptiles”.
This is the journey through time with extraordinary creatures that the Dinopédia theme park offers. A journey from the Carboniferous period to the age of the dinosaurs in the heart of a unique site with its fossil forest and the amazing and fantastic local discovery of dinosaur footprints: Otozoum Grandcombensis!
All in all, a full immersion in an extinct world with animated dinosaurs (real size). A change of scenery and thrills guaranteed with the screening of the ESMA short film.
A VERY SUCCESSFUL AND POPULAR COMEDY
Mésozoïque Alternatif (2021) directed by Léna Miguet, Marie Schaeffer, Swann Boby, Sixtine Sanrame, Lucie Laudrin and Marion Metivier, tells the story of dinosaurs and humans living together through the ages. However, the annoying behaviour of the humans starts to annoy Rex, a good-natured dinosaur with a peaceful nature… but his patience has its limits.
This comedy has been very well received. It has been selected for many festivals worldwide. Among others, the film has been selected for the DeadCenter Film Festival in the United States, the FANTASIA International Film Festival in Canada and the Children Competition in Umbria (Italy).
